Saskatoon firefighters, police and Medavie paramedics worked together at the scene of an apartment building fire Friday night.
Around 9 p.m. firefighters received multiple 911 calls reporting a fire at an apartment building on the 2000 block of 20th Street West.
When they arrived, firefighters spotted a person at a third-floor window that needed help to escape.
Crews used ladders to get the person safely to the ground.
Firefighters rescued two more people inside the building, found in a below-grade unit during a search.
None of the rescued people appeared to have serious injuries, police said in a news release.
Police lifted traffic restrictions around the scene around 11:20 p.m. although continued to ask people to avoid the area during the fire investigation.
The extensive damage forced officials to close the building. Only firefighters are allowed inside to retrieve personal items for displaced residents.
The Red Cross assisted six people from four of the apartments 11 occupied suites.
