The Saskatoon Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT) has taken a 30-year-old Saskatoon man into custody following a five-week investigation.
ICRT is funded by the government through the Ministry of Justice, Corrections and Policing. Its an investigative body comprised of partner agencies from the Saskatoon Police Service and the RCMP âFâ Division.
On Friday, the man was arrested outside of a hotel in the 3300 block of 8th Street East after being engaged in drug trafficking activity. He was found to be in possession of around 334 grams of cocaine in the glove box of a vehicle.
Search warrants were executed in a room at the hotel and a home on the 400 block of Berini Drive, in the Erindale neighbourhood. An additional 436 grams of cocaine was located.
In total, around 771 grams of cocaine was seized.
The man is now charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
