Three people are facing charges of second degree murder after a man was found injured early Wednesday morning on Avenue U.
Saskatoon police said in a release Thursday officers responded to reports of gunshots and a vehicle leaving the area just after midnight on Wednesday. When they arrived on the 300 block of Avenue U South, they couldn’t find any vehicle or injured people.
Another call came in around 2:30 a.m. and when officers arrived they found a 21-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was declared dead at the scene.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released by police.
Patrol officers were later able to locate the vehicle and arrest three people in connection with the murder.
Two men aged 23 and 24 are charged with second degree murder, along with an 18-year-old woman.
All three were scheduled to make their first court appearances at Saskatoon provincial court on Wednesday morning.
