A man is in police custody and facing a charge of evading police after a high-risk traffic stop near the Travelodge Hotel on Monday morning.
At around 7 a.m., Saskatoon police were notified by Warman RCMP that a red Ford half-ton truck was travelling into Saskatoon.
The truck was connected to an attempted break and enter in Langham. A member of the Saskatoon Police Service’s canine unit tried to stop the vehicle as it reached the city, but the driver refused to stop.
A tire deflation device was used and successfully disabled the vehicle. It came to a stop outside the hotel and three people were taken into custody.
The RCMP is continuing its investigation into the attempted break and enter.
