There were multiple fires in the Adelaide/Churchill neighbourhood Tuesday night.
Police officers responded to a garage fire in the 2400 block of Cairns Avenue, before receiving calls of a man lighting multiple fires in a back alley in the 2300 block of McKinnon Avenue South.
A 27-year-old man was arrested while still holding a lighter, and is now facing two separate arson charges.
The Saskatoon Fire Department extinguished the garage fire in 2400 block of Cairns Avenue. The other fires in the back alley were extinguished by residents in the area.
Saskatoon police are thanking residents in the area who were quick to call-in information.
