Four men are facing several charges in relation to drug trafficking and firearms offences after Saskatoon police conducted a traffic stop Thursday in the 500 block of Avenue W South.
The officers observed activity consistent with drug trafficking in the 500 block of Avenue W South. Members of the tactical support unit and patrol helped out with the vehicle stop.
Four men were arrested without incident.
A search of the vehicle found cocaine and cash.
Later in the evening, at around 8:30, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 100 block of Clancy Drive. More cash was found and seized along with falsified identification documents, cellphones, scales and drug packaging. A loaded handgun and ammunition was also found during this search.
At around 8:40 p.m., a second search warrant was executed at a residence in the 2700 block of Seventh Street East. Officers found and seized cash and cocaine.
In total, Saskatoon police recovered 93 grams of cocaine and more than $20,000.
A 27-year-old man from Montreal is facing 15 charges including trafficking cocaine, possession of forged documents and numerous firearms-related offences. He was also found to have a number of outstanding Criminal Code warrants from the Ottawa Police Service.
Two other men, ages 20 and 27, also from Montreal, are facing several charges including trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
A 42-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with possession of cocaine.
