A march through Saskatoon’s downtown will be part of tonight’s “Justice for George Rally.”
Saskatoon police say they have spoken to organizers and will allow everything to proceed as “long as it remains peaceful.”
The march is planned to begin at Saskatoon city hall, northbound on Third Ave. N to 25th St. East. It will then go west on 25th St. East to Pacific Ave. then on to 22nd St. East at TCU Place.
Things will wrap up after the march goes down 22nd St. East to near the Bessborough.
Saskatoon police say they will continue to work with organizers to ensure everyone’s safety.
“We also remind those taking part of the existing public health order and the need for safety precautions as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants are encouraged to maintain physical distance, wear a mask and practice safe hand hygiene,” Saskatoon Police Service’s Thursday release reads.
The rally is expected to begin at 6 p.m. at Saskatoon city hall.
