650 CKOM’s sister station Rock 102 is postponing its annual Show and Shine Weekend in the interest of public safety.
“Over the past 39 years, the event has become one of the largest classic car shows in Canada attracting more than 40,000 people to downtown Saskatoon to see hundreds of classic cars, trucks and motorcycles,” a media release said.
The Show and Shine was scheduled for August 14 to 16 in downtown Saskatoon.
It will instead happen on August 20-22, 2021.
“This was not a decision that was made lightly,” Rock 102 Morning Show host Shack said. “We understand how important the event is to so many people in the community, but the public’s safety is incredibly important to us.”
Rock 102’s Rock the River Classic Rock Festival is also holding off until 2021.
Tickets for the 2020 concert series can be used in 2021 or refunds can be requested.
