A 29-year-old Saskatoon man is facing more than 50 charges after being found in possession of drugs and weapons.
At around 9:30 p.m. on April 9, police were called to the 2400 block of Arlington Avenue. When they arrived, the suspect was found inside a grey Ford F-150 and a traffic stop was conducted.
An open bottle of liquor was found inside the truck and the man was arrested without incident.
Police found in his possession two baggies of methamphetamine and cash.
Following a search of the vehicle, officers found an axe, a sledgehammer, four knives, two sawed-off rifles, ammunition, baggies of meth and cocaine and further evidence related to drug trafficking.
Search warrants were later executed at a residence in the 1000 block of Avenue H North and a storage locker in the 3900 block of Wanuskewin Road, where investigators seized six more firearms, firearm parts, ammunition and further evidence of drug trafficking.
The man is facing more than 50 weapons- and firearms-related offences.
He is also charged with trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of the proceeds of crime, uttering threats, breach of undertaking and breach of conditions.
