A McDonald’s restaurant in Saskatoon has closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
McDonald’s on Confederation Drive closed immediately Sunday afternoon once the employee informed the company, according to a media release.
The employee last worked on April 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A third party company has been hired for a “thorough cleaning and sanitation,” the release continues.
“The restaurant will re-open once direction has been given by public health authorities,” the release read.
All workers that were in close contact with the employee have been contacted and asked to self-isolate.
McDonald’s is advising any customers that visited the restaurant on April 4 to follow directions from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
McDonald’s will provide an update once more information is available.
