A 45-year-old man was sent to hospital after being assaulted and stabbed just before two a.m. Friday.
The man had been walking near 24th Street East and 3rd Avenue North when he was approached by three people who threatened him with a handgun, a machete and a small knife.
The trio then beat and stabbed the man.
He was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police tracked down the suspects, but two of them ran away. One person was taken into custody.
Police continue to investigate.
