The RCMP said Thursday its Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation into the disappearance of a Humboldt man.
In a media release, the RCMP said it considers the case “suspicious given the circumstances involved.”
The Mounties said they don’t believe that 20-year-old Allan Douglas Garrioch (who also is known to use the last name Glasier) left his house willingly, suggesting he “may have been directed or forced to accompany the three unknown males after the altercation within his residence.”
Garrioch was seen leaving his house in Humboldt on Tuesday at about 3 a.m. He was with three men after reports of a fight inside the home.
Garrioch hasn’t been in touch with family members or friends since Tuesday morning, which the RCMP said is “completely out of character for him.”
Anyone with information about Garrioch’s whereabouts is asked to call the Humboldt RCMP at 1-306-682-2535 or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
