A 27-year-old man has serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being attacked with an axe Sunday morning.
Police say the victim went to St. Paul’s Hospital looking for treatment after the assault, which he said occurred as he was walking down the 1800 block of 22nd Street West on Sunday at around 2 a.m.
The victim says the man who attacked him was acting strangely and may have been under the influence of an intoxicant. The suspect began to assault the victim, then struck him with the axe.
The suspect is described as being between 25 and 30 years of age and around six feet tall. He was wearing a black Adidas jacket, dark jeans, a black shirt with white lettering, and glasses.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Saskatoon police or Crime Stoppers.
