The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Chad Geter to a two-year contract extension.
The 25-year-old defensive lineman played six games for the Green and White last season. He had nine defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, and three sacks.
It wasn’t his first stint with the Riders: he played in 18 regular season games and the West Final in 2018. He started last season with the Montreal Alouettes, but returned to Saskatchewan after only two appearances.
The six-foot-two South Carolina native spent his college career at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. He had a star career, with 203 solo tackles, 142 assists, 10.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
His new contract will keep him with the Riders until the 2021 season.
