Everyone’s expecting a visitor dressed in red on Christmas Eve, but there wasn’t much Christmas cheer Monday night when three red-wearing robbers showed up at a Central Avenue beer and wine store.
According to police, two men and a woman – all wearing red coverings over their faces – entered the store armed with knives and demanded alcohol at around 11 p.m. An employee told police the group was armed with switchblades, but nobody was hurt during the altercation.
The male suspects are described as having slender builds, being in their 20s, standing between five feet seven inches and five feet nine inches tall, wearing dark jeans and black hoodies with red bandanas concealing their faces. The third suspect, a woman, has long, dark hair and was wearing a red winter coat, which she used to cover her face, along with red shoes and jeans.
Police did not say if the robbers managed to steal any alcohol before fleeing.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
