If you were looking to pick up cannabis edibles as a last-minute stocking-stuffer in hopes of being the fun member of your family this Christmas, you may have to look for another way to earn the designation.
Most retailers in Saskatoon sold out all of their edible products within a day of receiving their shipments.
“Everything from our gummies and our chocolates sold out across all three of our stores within five to eight hours,” said Shauneen Wuttunee, manager of the Prairie Records Broadway Avenue location.
“We got our [shipment] in Thursday and we sent out a text message blast to notify all of our customers that we have the edibles in. It took us an hour to process the order and get them out on the shelves, then by 8:00 or 9:00 that evening they were sold out, both at Stonebridge and Broadway.”
She said the shipment included gummies, peppermints, spearmints, chocolates and an assortment of vape pens and cartridges.
However, all hope is not lost in your quest to be the fun family member.
Due to a late shipment, Tweed reportedly still has some edibles in stock and a few stores are hoping to get another shipment in today. But supplies are not expected to last long.
“I was supposed to have a truck come in on Friday but I am hoping to get some in today.” said Wuttunee.
“It will probably be sold by tomorrow, definitely, for sure.”
According to Wuttunee, their new shipment includes more gummies as well as a variety of vape pens.
