A mass amount of mail has been recovered in Saskatoon with two women now in custody.
On Sunday, Saskatoon Police stopped a Honda Civic near 29th Street West and Avenue J North without a license plate.
They found the car was stolen, and arrested the two women inside the vehicle.
Police found multiple bags in the vehicle, filled with hundreds of pieces of opened mail which included identification documents. They also found break and enter tools and a can of pepper spray.
None of the found mail belonged to the two women.
A 34-year-old woman from Saskatoon, and a 32-year-old woman from Beardy’s First Nation are facing a total of 25 charges.
Charges include possession of stolen property Over $5000, possession of break and enter tools, obstruction, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of stolen identification.
The investigation remains ongoing due to the large quantity of evidence.
Police also wanted to remind the public to monitor their banking and personal information closely, and to report any suspicious activity.
