On Saturday night, Meadow Lake RCMP received a report of two men who had been shot while driving in the city.
The 32-year-old driver suffered a single gunshot wound to the back. The 50-year-old passenger was also injured.
RCMP were told that those responsible for the shooting fled in a white four-door car.
Officers then noticed a white four-door vehicle leaving the city on a rural road. After an attempt to flee from the police, the car lost control and crashed into some bushes.
RCMP arrested four men at the scene and charged them with flight from police and dangerous operation of a vehicle under the criminal code.
No firearms were found in the car at the time of the arrest.
RCMP have issued a warrant for Lennex Merasty-Morin who is facing 13 charges including firearms related offences, in relation to the incident. Merasty-Morin was not in the vehicle when it crashed, and is still at large.
