Five members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders were named to the CFL Players’ Association all-star team Thursday.
Balloting was conducted by members of the CFLPA.
Saskatchewan’s Cody Fajardo, who led the CFL with 4,302 passing yards during the 2019 regular season, was named the all-star quarterback.
He was joined on the offensive team by receiver Shaq Evans, who led the Roughriders with 1,334 receiving yards on 72 catches. He also had five touchdown catches.
Three Roughriders defenders were selected to the all-star team.
They were: Linebacker Derrick Moncrief, who had 69 tackles, four sacks, three interceptions and a forced fumble; defensive end Charleston Hughes, who had 50 tackles and a CFL-high 16 sacks; and, defensive back Ed Gainey, who had 56 tackles and two interceptions.
