The locker room was full of optimism for the future of the organization on Sunday.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders will host a CFL West Final for the first time since 2009.
It came down to the final two minutes but a pick-six by Roughriders’ Most Outstanding Canadian nominee Cam Judge sealed a 23-13 win over the Edmonton Eskimos, clinching the top spot in the division on Saturday at Mosaic Stadium.
Running back Marcus Thigpen scored the only touchdown of the game for the Roughriders, scoring on a four-yard rush.
Kicker Brett Lauther struggled in the game, going two-for-six. But he made a 12-yard field goal with 1:30 left to put the Roughriders up 16-13.
Rookie quarterback Isaac Harker, who was making his first career start, finished the game completing 23 of 28 passes for 213 yards.
More to come…
