Saskatoon police are asking for help to locate a man who ran from a stolen Jeep early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a call about a vehicle alarm going off at 1:13 a.m. on the 500 block of Avenue I South.
The older model Jeep Cherokee was broken into and taken, police said in a media release.
Police spotted the vehicle in the area of Avenue C and 36 Street and attempted to do a traffic stop.
When the driver refused to stop police used a spike belt to deflate three tires.
The driver continued south before abandoning the Jeep near Clarence Avenue and Wilson Crescent.
Police used the K9 unit to try to track the man but came up empty-handed.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
