With snow expected in Saskatchewan this weekend along with cooler temperatures, it’s a good time to switch over.
At Market Tire on 8th Street in Saskatoon Colton Ritchot said it’s been busy.
“Friday was the busiest day so far this fall,” said Ritchot. “We had at least eleven people waiting in line and overall close to thirty.”
Ritchot told 650 CKOM he sees more people investing in winter tires.
“If not just for our Saskatchewan winters,” he said. “Trying to get through B.C. over the wintertime they (winter tires) are actually required in B.C.”
Ritchot has a simple tip to see if your tires still have good traction. All you need is a dime.
“If the tread is touching the head, you should be alright. If the tread’s not touching the head of Queen Elizabeth, you should probably look at tires.
