Saskatoon police are investigating the death of a 31-year-old man on Saturday as a homicide.
Police said officers were called to a home in the 100 block of Howell Avenue just after 5 a.m.
When they arrived, officers discovered a man was hurt.
He was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
“Multiple persons from the residence have been interviewed and assisted police in the investigation. At this time, police have a number of persons of interest and suspects in custody,” Saskatoon police wrote in a media release late Saturday afternoon.
An autopsy of the man’s body is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause of his death.
This is Saskatoon’s 13th homicide of the year.
EDITOR’S NOTE: An earlier version of this story said that the victim was 21 years old. Saskatoon police have since clarified that the man was 31.
