Roughriders beat Alouettes 27-25 with last-minute Lauther field goal

Saskatchewan Roughriders kicker Brett Lauther wasn’t perfect Saturday night, but he hit a 39-yard field goal with 25 seconds left to give the Roughriders a 27-25 win at Mosaic Stadium.

Lauther missed an extra-point attempt and a 33-yard attempt earlier in the game.

Roughriders quarterback Cody Fajardo completed 19 of 27 pass attempts for 254 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed in a score.

Saskatchewan running back William Powell found the endzone twice in the game, one on the ground and one through the air. He recorded 94 yards on 15 carries.

Als quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. completed 22 of his 36 pass attempts for 344 yards and a touchdown.
