Saskatoon woman could be next Maxim cover girl

The next Maxim model could be from Saskatoon.

Sandra Lyn Nelson is a finalist in the fashion magazine’s cover girl contest.

She’s currently ranked second out of 20 other competitors. Anyone can vote online.

If she wins, she’ll take home a cash prize of $25,000 US and feature on a Maxim cover.

Nelson told Gormley she made it this far thanks to lifestyle choices.

“Once I started changing my diet, I realized I wanted to tone up at the same time. So I hooked up with a trainer,” she said. “Here I am four years later, everything just seems to be falling in to where it is.”

She’s thrilled about the opportunity.

“It’s quite exciting, considering you’re competing against women all across the world,” Nelson said.
