Saskatoon police are searching for a man suspected of fleeing from officers.
They were called to a parking lot on Circle Drive to investigate a suspicious vehicle at around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
When they showed up, they noticed the driver slumped over the wheel with a sawed-off rifle. Officers ran a license plate check and the car came up as stolen.
The suspect then tried to drive away from police. He avoided tire spikes, then drove erratically and left the road more than once.
They decided not to follow the man because of the high amount of traffic. The air-support unit was also unavailable at the time.
He was driving a grey 2010 Chevrolet Impala coated in dried mud. His age is estimated as between 25 and 28 years old.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
