Previously, WHL players were declared ineligible to play NCAA hockey in the U.S.
It was a chilly one in some parts of Saskatchewan Saturday night.
Both Regina and Saskatoon broke long-standing records with lows of 2 C and 0.7 C respectively.

However, the two cities weren’t the coldest spots in the province.
Last Mountain Lake recorded below-freezing temperatures of -0.6 C, while North Battleford dipped to -0.5 C.
Environment Canada’s Sara Hoffman said the low temperatures were the result of clear skies between two systems.
“That little strip along the highway that connects (Lloydminster) to Saskatoon, then Saskatoon to Regina, they cleared out overnight and (it) got a little cold. Elsewhere in the province, temperatures were very seasonal,” she explained.
Hoffman said these low temperatures are expected to rebound in the next couple days.
