The latest summer storm to hit Saskatchewan is leaving people with some clean-up Thursday.
According to Environment Canada, the wind tore off the roof on two homes on the Onion Lake Cree Nation north of Lloydminster.
“We haven’t received any reports of how extensive it was,” said meteorologist Terri Lang.
“At this time we have to assume it was a plough wind, just based on the radar pattern.”
Strong wind gusts were reported across the province with Regina topping everyone at 87 kph.
Farmers will likely be dealing with flattened crops as Wednesday’s thunderstorms brought heavy rain and hail. The largest hail recorded was golf ball sized near Landis.
Davidson, Kenaston and Bladworth were briefly under a tornado warning, however the weather office said there was no confirmed touchdowns.
A funnel cloud was spotted near Strongfield, but was short lived the weather office said.
Saskatoon not spared
A short, but heavy down pour flooded Idylwyld Drive under the Circle Drive overpass Wednesday evening.
Saskatoon Light and Power crews responded to four outages Thursday morning due to “adverse ” weather.
The city has received 30 calls for fallen trees.
The wind also blew over a traffic light at McOrmond Drive and Kerr Road.

The weather office said Thursday could bring more unsettled conditions after weeks of spotty severe weather.
