Sturgeon Lake RCMP are investigating a suspicious death at a residence on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation.
Officers responded to the call on July 14 around 10 a.m. for an unresponsive male. EMS paramedics declared the man deceased on arrival.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit South investigators are investigating along with assistance from Prince Albert and Tisdale Forensic Identification Section and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
A release from Saskatchewan RCMP said residents in the area will notice an increased police presence. There is no threat to public safety, officials say.
An autopsy is scheduled for July 18 and the family members of the deceased have been notified of his death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
