Saskatoon police arrested a man and a woman after a series of hit-and-run collisions on Thursday night.
At around 5:15 p.m., officers received a report of a purple minivan rear-ending a vehicle stopped at the traffic lights at the intersection of Faithfull Avenue and 51st Street.
From there, the minivan allegedly sped away and hit multiple other vehicles.
The 25-year-old man was arrested after jumping from the van and trying to flee police on foot.
The driver, a 37-year-old woman, was later detained in a hotel parking lot on Circle Drive.
Police found three children in the van during the incident. They also found needles, other drug paraphernalia, and items they believe to be stolen.
The woman is facing charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and breach of probation. The man was arrested on outstanding warrants.
Police haven’t ruled out the possibility of more charges on the way.
