A Saskatoon cab driver was robbed at gunpoint after picking up a fare early Thursday morning.
In a media release, Saskatoon police say officers responded to a cab driver that was robbed by his fare in the 1000 block of Matheson Drive at 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
Before fleeing on foot, the man escaped with the driver’s wallet and phone after pulling out a small handgun. A canine unit was called in to track the alleged robber, but did not make an arrest.
Police are searching the suspect described as a man in his 20s, that is approximately six feet tall and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and a yellow ball cap.
The cab driver was not injured.
