A break and enter in Saskatoon is one for the books.
On Sunday evening, police were called to Crackers Restaurant & Lounge on Pinehouse Drive, where staff had been hearing strange noises coming from the ceiling.
Officers checked the ceiling and located a man hiding inside with multiple break and enter tools.
Part-time bookkeeper Sharon Grady said it was definetly a surprise for everyone on staff.
“Creepily funny almost, if that’s a thing,” Grady said.
“Not that I’m downplaying it. You’ve heard some doozies and this rates right up there.”
According to police, the suspect was dehydrated and hungry as he had been hiding in the ceiling for more than 24 hours.
Employees were evacuated from the building while police removed the man.
Grady said the restaraunt is connected to the rest of the strip so he could have come in somewhere else.
The 38-year-old man is charged with break and enter and possession of break-in tools.
