A man faces charges that include assaulting a police officer after a bizarre incident at a Saskatoon hotel.
Saskatoon police said in a release they were called to the 300 block of Circle Drive near Idylwyld Drive at around 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
A man had barricaded himself inside one of the rooms and refused to come out.
When officers went in, they found the man harming himself with a piece of broken glass.
Police said he lunged at one of the officers.
That’s when a taser was used to subdue the man.
The man was taken to hospital for observation.
