Sask. Rush aims to end playoff drought as training camp begins

The final weekend of training camp is set for Nov. 22-24 back in Saskatoon.
Roughly two months after they first walked off the job, striking Saskatoon Co-op workers will vote Friday on a new contract offer.
The new offer was presented Thursday to United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 1400.
Saskatoon Co-op CEO Grant Wicks called the vote a big step forward in a press release issued Thursday.
“We’re glad that our employees will have a chance to view and vote on
this offer soon, especially as we start the New Year.”
The new offer would impose a revised version of a two-tiered wage structure that would see new employees hired at lower pay. The issue has been the main sticking point in the negotiations.
