Saskatoon police had their hands full with a 26-year-old man on Boxing Day.
Just before midnight, they were called to a disturbance in the 1600 block of 11th Street W. A woman reported she was being bothered by a man with no shirt and no shoes.
Police say the man charged at officers in a threatening manner; he was shot with a stun gun when he refused to comply with the officer’s commands.
The first attempt to subdue him with a Taser wasn’t successful, so police say he was shot a second time with the stun gun when he allegedly threatened a second officer.
The suspect dropped to the ground, but before he could be arrested, he got back to his feet and continued threatening officers.
He was Tasered a third time. Police were then able to arrest him and bring him into custody, where he faces two charges of assaulting a police officer.
The incident will be reviewed in accordance with provincial policy.
