A 24-year-old man wanted for allegedly offering teenage girls drugs in exchange for sex through a social media app has turned himself in.
Alexander Tokaryk, 24, is charged with two counts of luring a child, one count of drug trafficking in heroin, methamphetamine and cannabis, along with one count of unlawful distribution of cannabis.
On Monday, The Saskatoon Police Service Vice Unit issued a media release saying they were searching for Tokaryk. Less than 24 hours later, he turned himself in.
An investigation began after police were made aware of possible luring activity involving teenage girls, in addition to a criminal complaint made by a 17-year-old girl.
Another victim was identified during the investigation.
Police said in a release Monday, the man started conversations with underage girls in April through an app and allegedly arranged for sexual favours in exchange for drugs and money.
It is believed the two child luring reports made to police are not isolated. Anyone who has experienced similar activity is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300.
