Saskatoon Police are investigating sexual assault reported on Sunday.
A 20-year-old woman was walking along 20th Street West between 5 a.m. and 6:15 a.m. when she was reportedly pulled into a white van. There were two men inside, the driver and a passenger.
The passenger was in the back of the van and tried to sexually assault the woman. The woman struggled with the attacker, striking him “multiple times to stop the assault from progressing,” Saskatoon police said in a media release.
The van then stopped in the 11100 block of 20th Street West where the woman exited and fled to her apartment nearby.
Descriptions of the men are limited, but the driver of the van was described as having a beard growing one to two inches from his chin.
The van was described as an “older-style white van” with a sliding panel door and no rear windows.
