The National Lacrosse League has officially cancelled the first two weeks of the 2018-19 regular season.
A press release from the league stated the decision came after review of a proposed contract from the Professional Lacrosse Players’ Association submitted Wednesday.
The league blamed the decision to cancel games on the players’ association instructing members not to report to training camps or submit to physicals ahead of the season.
The cancellations affect the first Saskatchewan Rush game of the season on Dec. 1 in Georgia, as well as the team’s home opener Dec. 8 against the Colorado Mammoth.
