A new phase in the ongoing construction at the Saskatoon International Airport is complete.
Airport CEO Stephen Maybury spoke with The Brent Loucks Show Monday, explaining that a new economy parking option was available for passengers.
Dubbed the Jet Set lot, the 600-stall addition to the airport’s parking infrastructure is located at the corner of 45th Street and Airport Road.
Maybury said the walk from the new lot to the airport would be about 10 minutes. He said passengers would also be able to use a shuttle bus service between the lot and the terminal.
He noted the lot could be expanded in the future.
“There’s 600 stalls up in the jet set lot and we’ve got the ability to move that to 3,300 over the next 20 to 40 years.”
Maybury said other improvements to the airport’s parking facilities were expected to be complete by Dec.1.
