RCMP officers are updating an investigation into a collision on a northwest Saskatchewan road Thursday.
Just before 8 a.m., a pickup truck and a school bus collided at a range road intersection eight kilometres northeast of Pierceland, SK.
According to an RCMP media release, both vehicles were sent into the northwest ditch, with the truck laying on its side. The male driver was declared dead at the scene, while a woman in the truck was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
There were no passengers in the bus at the time of the collision and no other injuries were reported.
Pierceland RCMP said the truck was reported stolen from Cold Lake, AB.
The investigation is ongoing.
