Dozens of guests, hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of fans are expected at Prairieland Park over the weekend to celebrate all things pop culture.
Doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday with events spread across three halls for the Saskatchewan Entertainment Expo.
This year’s guests include Doug Jones, known for is monster roles in TV and movies.
He can be seen now as Lt Saru in the TV show Star Trek Discovery.
Jones also became a fan favourite in the Hellboy movies as Abe Sapien.
His Hellboy co-star Ron Perlman will also participate in panels and photo ops.
Gates McFadden from Star Trek the Next Generation, Winnie the Pooh and Ducktails voice actor Jim Cummings, Cheers star John Ratzenberger, Laurence Olivier Award-winning English actor Julian Glover and podcaster Ming Chen round out the international guests.
Homegrown Canadian talent is represented with Firefly star Jewel Staite and Degrassi series actors Pat Mastroianni and Stacie Mistysyn.
It’s not just about meeting TV and movie actors there is also 300 exhibitors and a marketplace.
The Expo runs until 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
