A 24-year-old woman faces several charges after stealing a drink, causing a scene in a downtown Saskatoon bar and punching a child.
Around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, bike unit officers responded to a disturbance.
Witnesses told police a woman stole a drink from a man in a bar on 21st Street East, turned over chairs and threw the glass at him before running out.
The 24-year-old was then seen punching and kicking parked cars.
According to police, she approached a family walking along 3rd Avenue South and punched a 10-year-old girl before running away again.
While trying to bring the woman into custody, police said she struggled with officers and spat at one of the officers.
She now faces three counts of assault, theft, breach of an undertaking and possession of marijuana.
