There are a few changes in store for people in Saskatoon this Canada Day weekend.
With July 1 falling on Sunday and a stat holiday Monday, hours for civic services and facilities may vary from the norm both days.
The following is a list of what you need to know this July long weekend:
City Hall will be closed.
Drivers will still need to pay and adhere to time limits for city parking Monday. The Municipal Impound Lot will not be releasing vehicles to the public.
All Saskatoon Public Library locations will be closed.
The city landfill will be open with regular hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Garbage (black cart), yard and food waste (green cart) and recycling (blue cart) collections will take place as scheduled.
City compost depots will be open with regular hours.
The Saskatoon Civic Conservatory will be closed during renovations.
The Remai Modern Art Gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
TRANSIT SERVICES
Saskatoon Transit will run with regular service Monday, while Access Transit will operate with holiday service for July 2.
Access trips must be booked in advance as per normal procedures (7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.). Customers are reminded that subscriptions do not apply on statutory holidays.
The Transit Customer Service Centre will be open regular hours Monday.
RECREATION & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
The Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo will be open regular hours Monday — 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the zoo, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the park.
There’s no change this weekend or Monday to the City of Saskatoon outdoor pools schedule.
All city leisure centres will operate regular hours on Monday, however, the following is the schedule for July 1:
