Drivers were advised to be on the lookout Thursday morning for a large piece of mining equipment being hauled across the province.
Saskatchewan’s Highway Hotline reported shortly after 8 a.m. that the large load — which was estimated to be more than 10 metres wide — was being moved from Saskatoon to the K+S potash mine near Bethune.
Drivers were advised they could end up behind the convoy as it made its way along Highway 7, then Highway 45, Highway 15 and Highway 11.
The Highway Hotline advised that the machinery was expected to pull over roughly every 15 kilometres to allow drivers to pass.
The equipment was expected to complete its journey by around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
