Police have issued an arrest warrant for a woman connected to at least eight robberies near St. Paul’s Hospital and 20th Street West.
Brittany Ben is wanted on multiple charges that include robbery, attempted robbery and defrauding the robbery victims.
Purses were targeted in each robbery.
Two weeks ago, police warned the public of a woman reportedly attempting to steal purses in the area. In each incident, a woman surprised victims and stole their purses before fleeing on foot near St. Paul’s Hospital.
The recent string of purse thefts attributed to St. Paul’s updating its safety measures recently, including removal of its glass rotunda on 20th Street for clearer sight lines and to limit crowd sizes.
Ben, 27, is described as five feet, five inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes and long, straight brown hair.
