The search for Sweetgrass Kennedy continues, though the Prince Albert Police said it is now a recovery effort.
The four-year-old boy went missing in Prince Albert a week ago. Police say Kennedy fell into the river, according to witness testimonies.
At a media briefing this afternoon, Inspector Jason Stonechild said a wide area of the river has been searched using special heat, movement, and sonar scanning technology in the water and from the air, but to no avail.
Search and rescue teams will be back in the river and on the ground tomorrow, he said, to resume the hunt and retrace their steps.
Officials said they will not give up on their efforts to find the boy.
More to come.
