Two 14-year-old boys have been arrested and charged in connection to an armed robbery reported to police last week.
On May 4, a man told police he’d been approached by two boys near the 200 block of Dickey Crescent, at the bottom of a pedestrian bridge crossing 22nd Street West.
The boys reportedly threatened the man with a knife, then stole his phone, shoes and cash.
Police said the man then called them on Tuesday with a report that he’d seen the boys who robbed him.
Officers arrived at a grocery store on the 100 block of Kensington Boulevard around 4 p.m.
They reportedly spotted the two boys leaving the store and noticed they were in possession of some of the items the May 4 robbery victim had reported stolen.
The boys allegedly ran off in different directions when approached by police.
One of the teens was caught before making it out of the grocery store parking lot.
The other suspect was caught inside a business on Betts Avenue.
Police said both boys are from Saskatoon. One was charged with robbery, the other with breaching his probation.
