One man is in police custody after a serious assault in a Saskatchewan First Nation.
At around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Big River RCMP and Spiritwood EMS found a man in Big River First Nation suffering serious injuries from an assault.
The 32-year-old victim was transported to hospital in Shellbrook, then transported to Saskatoon for treatment by STARS Air Ambulance.
A 33-year-old man from Big River is in custody in connection to the assault.
No charges have been laid as the investigation continues.
Big River is about 130 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert.
