Saskatoon emergency services have called off the search for a person who reportedly went over the railing of the Broadway Bridge.
Witnesses reported seeing someone go into the river off the bridge just before 6 p.m. Thursday, prompting police and the firefighters to begin a search of the area.
The Saskatoon police plane assisted in the search as officers on foot checked the shoreline.
Saskatoon Fire Department divers checked the water around the bridge and downstream along the South Saskatchewan River.
Police announced that the search had been called off just after 2 a.m. Friday, with no sign of the missing person.
Police said they are continuing to try and determine the missing person’s identity.
