Two men face numerous charges after a foot chase that ended with a canine unit nabbing one of the suspects.
Just after midnight on Tuesday, an officer pulled over a vehicle in the 1200 block of Avenue I North.
One of the men got out and ran, tossing a backpack in the process.
A loaded, sawed-off rifle was found inside the bag.
The canine unit eventually caught up with suspect.
Police said he was treated at the scene for dog bites.
The suspects, a 17 year old boy and 22 year old man, face obstruction, substance and firearm-related charges.
